Treardurr Bay, Anglesey (day 6)

The weather's changed. It is cold. Threatening cloud passes over releasing a barrage of hailstones. Then calm is restored. The Snowdonia mountain range, now blanketed in white looks spectacular. We decided we should take a drive out.

Red Wharf Bay was our destination. A vast tidal bay on the east coast.

It was here in 1947 a sketch of the first Landrover was made in the sand. In 1948 the production of the Landrover began. And the rest is history. Despite it being bitterly cold two people took to the water, but not for long, after a couple of minutes they were out and wrapped up in their warm dry robes. We were happy to sit in Margery with hot drinks and lunch as the hail storms came and went. Our time in Anglesey is coming to an end and we were glad we'd decided to take a drive out one last time.
