Treardurr Bay, Anglesey (day 5)

Happy New Year. We'd both had a rough night, and John decided not to go out in the cold today. But Angela walked down to the bay which was busy with people. A new year's day event had just finished. Seems they like to race space hoppers along the beach here. Why not.

The day was cold and overcast, and the waves rolled angrily onto the shore. Probably best to stick to the space hopping rather than take a dip. The rest of the day was spent watching television. It's always nice to settle down to a good film of an afternoon. Especially one made over sixty years ago. The old ones are the best. And as it's new year's day a treat of a meal. Meat pies with swede mash and vegetables. And for dessert, Christmas pudding with cream. We managed to pick one up half price yesterday! So a day of resolutions for some. Not us. We prefer to make New Year plans. Plans to change our lifestyle, plans to be calmer, plans to be more adventurous and travel as much as possible. And hopefully, a new home. Fingers crossed.
