Burgers and griddled peppers in pitta bread for our evening meal.

Margery (2025 - ????)

Margery (she's a little bit posh so she insisted on her proper name!) is a Volkswagen 2020 T6 California Ocean, automatic, and with a 150 hp engine she should whizz us about in style. She is not replacing Muddy Marge, but going to widen the types of trips we will be undertaking. You can contact us at Johnlongwick@gmail.com

Muddy Marge (2024 -????)

Muddy Marge is a 2006 Land Rover Defender Td5. She is highly customised with her raised, and uprated suspension, interior built by John, and her Alucab Icarus pop top.

John Hampton: We are a couple who want to fit in as much as we can. We love travelling in Muddy Marge our 4x4 Land Rover campervan, but also Cycle touring and paddling our Packrafts.

Marge II (2019 - 2023)

Marge II is a 2008 Volkswagen Crafter converted by Westfalia. She is a Sven Hedin, one of only eighty built so an extremely rare conversion. She can sleep up to 4 and has a powerful 5 cylinder intercooled turbo diesel. I would have loved a VW LT Sven Hedin or Florida, the look is perfect, but I don't have the knowledge to keep a classic like that on the road.

Marge (2018 - 2019)

Marge resting at a tiny Aire near Carcassonne. She is a 1996 Volkswagen T4 Transporter converted by Autospleeper. She has a very low powered 5 cylinder non-turbo diesel.
